Ok the Title pretty much said it all. This is my 43rd pair of Socks in 2011 :0) Made from Fortissima Socka Mexico Color, my own design !

Trachtensocken for my Brother and Father

We are from Bavaria, and the Traditional Outfit for a guy is a "Lederhosen" !!! I made my Dad and Brother a pair of traditional socks to go with those pants ! Pattern is designed by me . I called the Pattern " Marcus" after my Brother :0)
Dark Brown are for Dad

And once again..........

a long time has passed since I have been on here. I am not sure if you guys knew, but I had a major 10 hour head surgery at the end of September. After some hearing problems, and several tests, my Doctor discovered I had a large Tumor in my Head. Surgery was rough, and so was Recovery, but I am on my way back to normal. My Face is still paralyzed on the left side, and looks crooked , and my speech is still suffering, but this is supposed to get better as time goes on. My biggest fear was cancer, and I am happy to say, that this Tumor was NOT Cancer..............
So after a break ,I am back to knitting and crocheting. I am still crocheting Chemo Angels, but I decided to deliver them to our Local Hospital instead of sending them to another State, unfortunately we have lots of Cancer Suffering Patients right here in Town ! At the Moment I am a One Man Production Company, but hope to find some crocheting help in the Future. The Number of Angels I crochet, is not enough in order to give each new Cancer Patient a thoughtful gift :0(
I also knitted my brother a pair of socks for Christmas. I decided to make my Dad a pair as well, just in a different shade.
I also made a scarf/ shawl as a Thank you for my Great-cousin in Illinois . She was so helpful during the time I was sick. It is a Test Knit, and was made out of a Wollmeise Yarn, which is now my all time favorite yarn :0)

Almost a month later....

Unbelievable how fast the time flies ! It has been almost a month since my last Post. A lot has happened during that time.......

As all of you know, I have been a Ravelry Member, and just found another very nice Group called " Annie's Gifts for Chemo " ! I think it is a wonderful Idea to present Chemo Patients with a small Gift on a very difficult time in their life's.......
So here are my first two Gifts I am going to Donate !

My first try with Wolle Kunterbunt

turned out very good ! Not only was it tons of fun to knit with it, but it also had a wonderful scent !

A Scarf made from hand dyed Merino

I recently fell in love with hand dyeing :0) Oh how much fun it is ! I dyed this extra fine merino wool with KoolAid. The blue was dyed with Easter Egg Color. Then I crochet this fun scarf from it, and still have leftovers to do some felting :0)

Hello Friends..........

I know......... it has been a long time since I have posted. There are just not enough hours in a day to get everything done :0( Believe it or not I am knitting for the upcoming Christmas Open House ! I know!!! Christmas..... that just doesn't sound right , but we are half way through the year, and it will be here before we know it. I am making Fingerless Gloves by the dozen :0) I re-wrote one of my favorite pattern " Mitt Envy". "My" Version is much easier and faster, and is published in Ravelry " Fingerless Fun Mittens ". A Baby Dress for the Neighbor

My Friend and Neighbor is going to be a Grandma again. The Baby Shower will be in July, so I thought I better get a head start :0) Made with Schachenmayr Catania.

This was an order I just filled :0) The brown pair was made with Knit Picks Essential, my Raindance Pattern. The blue pair was also made with Knit Picks Essential, and was turned into my Daybreak Socks. The red pair was made from Cascade Heritage, this Pattern has not been published as of right now :0)

Another Week is gone..................

Do you guys feel the same way.................I cant keep up with the days ! Time is going by so fast !!!!! My " Baby " ( almost 18 ) is Graduating in one Month :0(
So Graduation Party Plans are in the works. This Saturday is his Senior Prom, he sure looks good in a Tux :0)

Little Mittens

My sister-in-law called me today, and told me her niece's little baby girl is scratching up her little face. So I hurried up and knitted a pair of Mittens for her, to keep that cute little face scratch free :0) Pattern is out of the Ravelry Pattern Index: " Soft wave baby mittens ". I used 11g of Lisa Yarn by Gruendl.

I am so excited ! My new Pattern Diamonds and Rubies is almost finished, and looks great, at least I think so ! Going to need Test Knitters soon. I have learned a lot this past week. Thanks to a very sweet German Ravelry Friend, I am really in Designer Mode :0) I have a hard time sleeping, because there are to many Ideas going through my head :0) Ohhhh if we could just have a few extra hours in a Day ........ I am sure many of you feel the same way !!!!

It has been a while since I've posted :0( Time is just going by too fast. However I did knit several items I can show you today :0) My first item is my Sock pair #21 in 2011, made from Flotte Socke. This is a size L and will go straight in my Etsy Shop. Then I have a pair of Fingerless Mittens, made with a leftover yarn from Atelier Zauberelfe , and still had enough to make a pair of Newborn Socks. Then I can show you 2 Blocks made for a Afghan we make as a Team in my Ravelry Group , and a pair of very warm socks for a Charity Group called Wool Aid :0)

Socks # 19 in 2011

Finally got them done. I started these a while back, don't know why it took me so long to get back to them. I finished them yesterday during a Birthday Party at a Friends House :0) These are made from Opal " Schmetterling" I used 58g. I also made a couple of little Drawstring Gift Bags, I am saving them for next Christmas. Planning on filling them with Body Lotions and Soap for a couple of my Dear Friends :0)

jumped of my needles this morning. I am sure these will be made again ! I used a small amount of STR I had left over :0)

Socks #18 in 2011

Just finished them last night !
Made with my first skein of Drachenwolle, imported from Germany. I named the Pattern : Gruener Drachen ( translated green Dragon ) made a size 7-8 and used 60g.

Still hanging in there.....

Wow, this sinus infection is hanging on.............:0( However, I went to the Doctor, and now I have Antibiotic's so watch out sinus infection because you are GOING DOWN..........hahahahahaha
At least I have been able to knit :0) Can't cook, but can knit :00 ...............pssssssst don't let my family know though :0)

Fighting a sinus infection....................

Is absolutely no fun. I am battling with this for a couple of days now, my body aches almost like I have the flu. Actually I could have a touch of the flu on top of this sinus infection, who knows..............
Anyways after knitting these socks in a slow motion mode, I can finally show you the finished project. My design, called " Springfever " :0).Used 62g of a German Yarn called Aktiv. Another pair for Etsy.com
