I don't know how many of you are familiar with Ravelry. Those of you who are, know, what a great Internet Web Site it is. I belong to several Groups, one of my Favorite is the Tausendschoen Group. We had a Knitted Sock Exchange for Christmas.
My package came from Britta in Bonn / Germany :0)
I opened my package today ! And I just absolutely love it !!!! The Socks are gorgeous and fit perfect. I also got some grrrrrreat German Chocolate ( nothing better then German chocolate ), soap, hand lotion, jewelry to sew on socks, and a really cute Good Luck Gnome :0)

Another Gift done.......

This is a pair of fingerless Mittens for my friend Elaine. We are Ohio State College Football Fans :0) I hope she likes them !!!

my Mail Carriers Christmas Present. I hope she likes them !!!! She is such a sweet Lady, I wanted to give her something special this year.
They were made with Fiber Optic Yarns : Foot Notes. Color: Sapphire Batik

A pair for me :0)

It is sooooo cold , so I thought it was time to make me a pair of WARM socks. These are made with a double strand of scrap sock yarn. Oh, now my feet are nice and toasty :0)

After a long fight with my Computer.........

I am back on :0) If it wasn't for my super smart son, he is an absolute Genius with Computers. We had a major Virus, and had to buy a new Operating System to get it back up and running................I realized I am absolutely handicapped without this dumb thing !!!!! What did we do without it before.
Anyway I am back............... I opened a shop on Etsy a while back, it is going pretty good . A customer from Green Bay Wisconsin, asked me if I could knit her 11 pair of socks with yarn she had purchased a while back, in hopes to learn to knit herself.
Then I had a customer call me yesterday afternoon, wanting 10 pair of Fingerless Gloves............needles to say , I AM BUSY.

Hello everyone......

yes, I have been quiet. It has been a long 2 Weeks. The preparations for the Open House seemed to last forever. The Open House was a huge success. We had so many old and new Customers, it was a great Day. Now that is all behind me, and I can enjoy the Holiday Season. I opened up a shop at Etsy.com last week, and hope to be selling my projects there :0) This is a pair of Socks, i am getting ready to post in my shop. Let's see what happens .......................... :0)

before Saturday. I can not believe this is it., our 10th Anniversary Christmas Open House.
This week I am concentrating on making all my light up Decoration. So far I have a very long Christmas Countdown Swag, and two Wreath :0)

Kayla's Blanket is done....

My little Day Care girl's blanket is ready to be wrapped, and put under the tree. She loves soft blankets, so I know she will love this one. This is soooo soft and light like cotton balls .
Made from Filou yarn, color purple and Wuschel yarn from Schoppel in lime green.

Less then 2 Month till Christmas...............

That is so hard to believe. I have been knitting and crocheting Gifts for my Family and Friends :0)
Here is a Oscar the Grouch hat, for my sweet little Day Care Boy. He is adorable, and I know he will look sooooo cute in this hat :0)

I finished another shawl. This will be a gift also, but I know the recipient doesn't read my Blog, she has no Computer :0)
It is the Multnomah Pattern, and I used approx. 120g Schachenmayr Micro Bamboo Spray. This is a super soft yarn, and it was very easy to knit.

I can show you.......... This is a pair of Socks made from hand died yarn from Zauberelfe. If you haven't worked with her yarn yet, I highly recommend it. It is so nice to work with ! I love these colors !!! Remind me of Halloween :0)

I finally did some sewing again.......

yes, you have guessed it. I am still getting ready for my Open House. My sewing projects have been on the back burner for quite some time now. I'm having way to much fun knitting :0)
But yesterday I thought I better get a little bit of sewing done........ here is the result

is going to be gifted to my Mail-carrier today. She is going to become a first time grandmother in November ..............................How exciting !!!!!!!

fingerless gloves. Despite the 94 degrees outside, I knitted several pair of fingerless Gloves during the week. I can only show these two, because the others will be gifted and I don't
want them to be seen :0)

Still Damp.........

but I just had to take a picture of it ! I realized today, I have only 6 weeks until my Christmas Open House, so now panic has set in. I was up til midnight, knitting this purse yesterday. This morning it was felted and I just added the handles :0)

Mine was absolutely wonderful. I went to a Woolfest in Yellow Springs Ohio. The weather was perfect, we had a great Time. Delicious Food, great Company and the yarn was to die for. Anyone should go to at least one of them once a year, to keep up with the newest Fibers and Pattern.
Sunday was knitting Day :0) My second Pimpelliese is growing. This one I am knitting with Fortissima by Schoeller & Stahl .

I got a Package from Germany today.................

and ohhhhhh it was like Christmas. I made a trade with a very nice girl I meet through Ravelry. I couldn't believe it, when I opened the box......the yarn is so much more then what I expected. The colors are absolutely stunning ! I even got an extra Gift, a beautiful Sock Blocker made by her husband :0) Thank you sooooooo much Tina !!! Now I wish I had a few extra hands, to cast all this yarn on all at once :0)

Christmas is right around the corner........

I am knitting " mini Socks " for several Advent Calendars for my Christmas Open House :0) Since yesterday was such a beautiful day, I decided to take them out for a Photo shoot ........

May I introduce............

my first " Pimpelliese" Shawl by Spinning Martha, Christine Ebers( Pattern available at Ravelry) made from Gruendl Yarn: Lisa Print. This scarf - like shawl is a triangle started at the tip, the lace border is worked together with the shawl. My lovely Modell is my sons girlfriend.

It has been awhile....

since I have posted, but I have been battling a very nasty sinus infection. Unfortunately I am still a little under the weather. We had a nice weekend at the camper, now back to work tomorrow. I didn't get nearly as much knitting done as I hoped for. But I can show you a picture of a very cute pair of Baby Booties I knitted. The pattern is from a Ravelry Member: krayzee. If you are a Member of Ravelry you should check out her sock and glove pattern she has up for purchase. I bought the sock pattern last week and am planning on trying it out soon :0) Have a wonderful week !!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I dont know about you, but my weekends absolutely fly by :0)
I would like to show you my newest sock, made from Tausendschoen Yarn, called Ferienfieber. Another beautiful import from Germany. Pattern is called " Nutkin" , without a doubt one of my favorite Sock Pattern. These will also be sold at my Christmas Open House !

And since it was so much fun......

I made another one ! Felting is really a bunch of fun !My next one will be red :0) These will be sold at my Christmas Open House in November !

Oh, I'm so proud of myself.........

I have been seeing so many pretty felted projects, I just had to try it !!!! I was very skeptic after the hat was knitted.........................when I took it out of the washer after the first wash I was a believer, after the second wash I was thrilled.............. WOW, THIS REALLY WORKS !!!! I AM HOOKED !!!!

35 Quarts......

of Beans, was this weekends reason, why my knitting was once again on the back burner. My entire Saturday was spent on breaking and canning 1 Bushel of beans. But ohhhhh how good they will be this winter :0)

After................

8 quarts of Fiesta Salsa , 8 quarts and 12 pints of Tomatoes, I finally had a breather and finished this pair of socks :0)
